Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb 'confused' by NFL fines after Aaron Rodgers wrist-slap

The NFL could've moved to suspend Green Bay Packers starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers anywhere between one and four games for repeated (and admitted) violations of the league's COVID-19 policies but instead hit the reigning Most Valuable Player with a $14,650 fine.

Meanwhile, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has repeatedly had his pay docked this season for uniform violations related to untucked jerseys and his socks, and also because of a wave he offered following a game-winning touchdown over the New England Patriots last month.

ESPN's Todd Archer notes Lamb has been fined roughly $50,000 total throughout the campaign, something the 22-year-old addressed Wednesday.

"Annoy me? Nah. Confuse me a lot? Very much so yes," Lamb said of the punishments. "I just don't understand why I'm always the one getting fined for some reason. Untucked jersey. I don't know."

Because he's twice been penalized for having his jersey untucked since Week 1, Archer reports the next instance would cost Lamb $46,350. Lamb told reporters he's wearing the jersey as he did last season when he wasn't fined, and also that he plans to speak with league uniform inspectors before future contests to ensure he's properly following guidelines.

Lamb wasn't fined for anything during the past two games coming off Dallas' bye. The 6-2 Cowboys host the 4-4 Atlanta Falcons this Sunday, and one wonders if Atlanta defensive players will use Lamb's comments to try to get into his head as he runs routes.
