Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb is no stranger to contract negotiations dragging out with Jerry Jones, so he, like Dak Prescott, would have a little insight into how Micah Parsons is currently feeling.
With the "Lion" submitting a trade request over the frustration at how no talks had taken place, plus the host of verbal barbs thrown his way by Jerry and Stephen Jones in the public space, it isn't in a good spot.
While 105.3 The Fan's Shan Sharrif stated that Micah and Jerry reportedly had a four-hour conversation midweek, maybe things are moving along.
We have heard from Dak on his thoughts about Micah's future, and now, here comes No. 88.
"I feel like he's going to be here," Lamb said. "Reaction was crazy, but a little disappointing [in the process], but I mean it is what it is, you got to do what you got to do. You got to do what's best for him and his family."
Crazy and disappointing. That about says it.
Lamb, like Dak and every other player, knows where Parsons is coming from, and in truth, we do see a scenario where Micah and Jerry make up and agree on a long-term deal.
But the longer the wait goes, the less time Parsons has to get his body in "football shape" ahead of Week 1, something that Lamb knows all too well.
There is still ample time to thrash out a deal, but this has gone on longer than it should have, and calmer heads should prevail. But when that will be is anyone's guess.
