Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb Ranked Among NFL's Receiver Elite...But Not By Everyone
Andrew Dieb-Imagn Images

It is now well-known in league circles that Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb is among the best in football, with the All-Pro coming into his own over the past couple of years.

Paid like a top receiver, and consistently producing like one, Lamb is doing the No. 88 proud so early in his career.

In Jeremy Fowler's latest top 10 receiver rankings piece, which gets information from scouts, general managers and personnel evaluators, CeeDee is ranked as the fourth-best receiver with Ja'Marr Chase (1), Justin Jefferson (2), and Tyreek Hill (3) ahead of him.

"Excellent out of the slot, easy mover, can sink and bend," an NFL personnel evaluator said via ESPN. "Very good after the catch and excellent ball carrier vision."

We have a couple of issues here.

Hill is coming off a season where he failed to surpass 1,000 receiving yards since 2021, while Lamb, with a banged-up shoulder and Cooper Rush at quarterback, put up over 1,000 yards.

Maybe that is due to Hill's previous seasons, that some think he still has something left in the tank, so that isn't really here nor there.

But one thing that does irk us is that some of the voters had Lamb at his lowest ranking of 10.

There aren't nine better receivers in football than Lamb. Fourth feels right, maybe third if you really wanted to, but there can't be that many people who would have Lamb as the 10th-best receiver in football.

That's a stunning insult – and blasphemy, my friends.
