This offseason, we have seen rookies and their contracts be a big talking point with several remaining unsigned, just like Dallas Cowboys' second-round pick Donovan Ezeiruaku.
Well, that has now changed.
Per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, Ezeiruaku has put pen to paper on his rookie deal, which sees him get 38 percent of the fourth year of the deal guaranteed.
Cincinnati Bengals rookie Shemar Stewart has made headlines over not signing his rookie contract, and some were a little uneasy that Ezeiruaku might follow suit, but as training camp comes into focus, the defensive end can now fully focus on being a key part of Matt Eberflus' defense.
Set to be part of the defensive end rotation with Dante Fowler Jr., Sam Williams, Micah Parsons and Marshawn Kneeland, Ezeiruaku looms as the ace in Eberflus' deck, with many loving the draft selection.
With training camp upon us, all the hype has to be justified. As we know, things are vastly different once the pads come on, and Ezeiruaku is set to be vying for snaps from the outset.
While his contract situation is sorted, Parsons' isn't, with training camp looming as a big deadline for the "Lion" to get his monster new deal. Pittsburgh Steelers star T.J. Watt just signed his, giving him $41 million APY, so Micah's price just went up (again) for the Dallas front office.
With Micah stating he wanted a quick resolution, Jerry and Stephen Jones are dragging their feet on a deal for one of the team's most important players.
Ezeiruaku got his contract signed. Now it should be Micah's turn.
