It's a lengthy final injury report for the Dallas Cowboys ahead of a gotta-have-it Week 5 matchup against the winless New York Jets. But not all is bad news.
The Cowboys could have their best offensive lineman Tyler Smith available for gameday despite him missing every practice ahead of gameday. On Friday's injury report, Smith was listed as questionable. Reports indicate he is dealing with tendonitis which could be a long-term headache yet a manageable one for the coaching and training staff.
However, Smith's status for Sunday remains up in the air. The rest of the offensive line? Not as lucky.
Though on of the three starting Tylers on the Cowboys offensive line is questionable, the other two are out. Guyton failed to clear the concussion protocol, putting Nate Thomas in line to start at left tackle. Thomas saw regular season action last weekend when he stepped in for Guyton and had successful snaps against Micah Parsons in pass pro.
Meanwhile, first-round rookie Tyler Booker is set to miss his second consecutive game with an ankle injury. T.J. Bass replaced him last week and had a very solid performance, particularly in the run game. Meanwhile, starting center Cooper Beebe remains on Injured Reserve.
If Tyler Smith doesn't play Sunday, it means the Cowboys will be down to one healthy starter on their offensive line in Terence Steele.
