Cowboys have serious complaints about specific aspect of organization
Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

The NFLPA recently published its report cards gathering feedback from over 1,700 players from the 32 teams that make up the league. Among them, the Dallas Cowboys received overall positive grades but a specific aspect of the team surprisingly ranks near the bottom of the league:

Training room and staff.

Per the report card, which you can see in full below, Cowboys players graded their training room C- (26th in the NFL) while handing the training staff a devastating D+ (30th).

According to the NFLPA's report, almost four out of ten players believe they don't get an adequate amount of one-on-one treatment time while three out of ten players believe the training room is understaffed, meaning they " feel like they can’t get treatment done." Below is a breakdown from the player's union:

The major issue in Dallas, based on the responses, is centered around the training room. The players feel like they are very understaffed in this department, and it is difficult to get the necessary preparation and treatment to perform at their best. Only 62% of the players feel like they get an adequate amount of one-on-one treatment time, which ranks 30th in the NFL. The other issue mentioned was that the players feel the training room lacks basic equipment that you would expect to be standard in any other training facility.

With otherwise strong marks across the board, it should be simple to hire additional trainers and physical therapists to ensure the players can get the necessary treatment to stay healthy and perform at the highest level.

The only other are of the team that gets a C grade or worse is team travel, as the report reveals only seven teams in the league require some players to have roommates the night before the game, with the Cowboys being one of them.

The good news is other than that, the Cowboys once again graded quite positively on the report. Particularly, A-grades for the locker room and head coach Mike McCarthy go a long way in shooting down any notion that the players don't like the coach who enters a contract year despite three consecutive 12-win seasons in a row, or that there's any animosity among players.

Hopefully, this information is taken into consideration by the front office ahead of the 2024 NFL season to boost player's morale.
