Cowboys' Joe Milton Offers Brutal Response To Rocket Arm 'Takes'

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Joe Milton has seen his arm strength be a feature of his game, with the power he possesses giving him a rocket of a right arm and the ability to attempt passes others can't.

But as we have seen, that comes with a price.

In Joe's two preseason outings, his fastball is nearly uncatchable, with several passes being bounced off his receiver's hands, wild overthrows, and short five-yard passes rifled into his receiv er's hands. Some have called for Joe to reel in the power.

He has at times, putting some nice touch on his passes both in practice and in games, but the biggest thing people come away with is that he simply throws the football too hard.

Which has him confused.

“I don’t understand why people say I throw the ball so hard," Milton said. "I’m literally not throwing the ball hard. It just comes off my hand like that. I was born and blessed that way. If you think I’m throwing the ball hard, you shouldn’t be in the NFL.”

Bazooka Joe can throw the football 80+ yards with ease, and we have seen several long bombs be completed in camp, in preseason games, and even at practice at the Ford Center on Wednesday night, as he dialed up the launch codes for a Jalen Brooks touchdown.

That sort of throw is why the Cowboys are so invested in Milton, because his ceiling is so high, but we know the physical traits; it's Joe "playing" the quarterback position that people want to see.

As far as Milton throwing the football too hard, well, for some, the film speaks for itself.
