While the Dallas Cowboys have managed without superstar wide receiver CeeDee Lamb over the past few weeks following his Week 3 ankle injury against the Chicago Bears, his return remains highly anticipated.
On Friday, despite Lamb making some progress on the rehab field this week, the Cowboys officially announced that he has been ruled out for Sunday’s matchup against the Carolina Panthers, setting the stage for a potential return in Week 7.
Lamb joins KaVontae Turpin, Tyler Booker, and Jack Sanborn, who have all been ruled out for the game, while Tyler Smith, Trevon Diggs, and DaRon Bland are listed as questionable heading into the weekend. Their final status will likely be updated closer to kickoff at 1 p.m. EST.

The Cowboys are 1-0-1 without Lamb and 2-2-1 overall. They managed to score 40 points in a tie with the Green Bay Packers on "Sunday Night Football" and followed that with 37 points in a win over the New York Jets last week.
Led by quarterback Dak Prescott, the team has found plenty of production from George Pickens and tight end Jake Ferguson, who have emerged as his top targets. During the first two games in which Lamb played from start to finish, he combined for 16 receptions and 222 yards.
Cowboys Vice President Stephen Jones sounded optimistic about Lamb’s return within the next two weeks, aligning with the team’s original timeline after deciding not to place him on IR.
Lamb’s return would be a massive boost to a Cowboys offense that has already been one of the best in the NFL this season as they look to maintain their momentum.
