Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys got back on track in Week 11 as they faced Geno Smith and the Las Vegas Raiders on "Monday Night Football." The Cowboys, fresh off a bye, entered the night on a two-game losing streak, but added some major reinforcements to the struggling defense during the week off.
Coming into Monday’s game, Prescott had 40 career games with at least three touchdown passes, tied for the most in Cowboys history. With 1:11 remaining in the second quarter, the former Mississippi State quarterback found wide receiver George Pickens over the middle, and Pickens zigged and zagged his way to a 37-yard touchdown. The score marked Prescott’s third touchdown pass of the night.
In doing so, Prescott now has 41 games with three or more touchdown passes in his 10-year career, breaking the Cowboys record. The previous mark was held by current CBS Sports analyst Tony Romo, who posted 40 such games from 2003 to 2016.
Prescott later added a two-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Flournoy, giving him four on the night. He now has 13 games with four or more touchdown passes, the most in franchise history and the seventh-most through a player’s first 10 seasons in NFL history.
"Dak Prescott ( @dak ) has 41 career games with at least three passing touchdowns, moving past Tony Romo for the most three-touchdown games in franchise history," Dallas Cowboys Public Relations wrote on X. "Prescott has four passing touchdowns tonight, and his 13 games with four-plus touchdown passes are the most in franchise history and tied for the seventh-most in an NFL player's first 10 seasons."
