FRISCO - Who is on the Mount Rushmore of Dallas Cowboys all-time defensive backs?

Our Mike Fisher attempts to pare down the incredible list of candidates to four faces on that mountain ... and lots of arguments ensue in the Fish Report.

Fish's four names, in no particular order ...

Deion Sanders - A Super Bowl winner here in his first season in 1995 after having done the same with the 49ers, Sanders was a First-Team All-Pro three times with the Cowboys and he totaled 14 interceptions to go with three defensive touchdowns. He remains a controversial figure, as "Prime Time" was then.

But he is in the Hall of Fame, he is the greatest cover corner of all time and he spawned generations of imitators as one of the original self-branded superstars.

Mel Renfro - He started as a safety and then moved to cornerback and the former second-round pick made 10 straight Pro Bowls. Renfro won All-NFL honors five times and leads the franchise to this date with his 52 interceptions.

But most important? His record as a winner is incredible. Renfro was central to Dallas' two Super Bowl wins in the 1970s while playing in a total of four Super Bowls and a total of eight conference title games.

Cliff Harris - "Captain Crash'' came from nowhere (no offense, Ouachita Baptist) as an undrafted unknown and is finally in Canton after serving for a decade as a leader of legendary coach Tom Landry's defense.

A six-time Pro Bowler and a first-team All-Pro three times, he won two Super Bowls here with an intimidating on-field persona and a first-class approach off the field.

Darren Woodson - Still a shame that "Woody'' isn't in the Hall of Fame, with his annual snub continuing this past year. Like Harris, he's all class. Like Harris, he was a tackling machine (Woodson leads the franchise in that department). He could do it all on defense, and players of his 90's era (when he won two rings) will tell you he was the gem of that unit in Dallas.

We say Woodson might just be the best player presently, from any team, who isn't yet in the Hall.
