Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Suffers Double Loss Before Jets Game

Dak Prescott had his best game of the 2025 NFL season in Week 4, but the Dallas Cowboys still couldn't finish the job, ending "Sunday Night Football" against the Green Bay Packers with a 40-40 tie. Prescott finished with 319 yards and three touchdowns through the air, while adding another two yards and a score on the ground.

Prescott did all of this without his top pass catcher, CeeDee Lamb, who suffered an ankle injury in Week 3. But George Pickens, who Dallas acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers via offseason trade, stepped up, recording eight catches for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Prescott was also without two starting offensive linemen, including rookie Tyler Booker and center Cooper Beebe.

The Cowboys will again be without Lamb, Booker, and Beebe in Week 5 when they face the New York Jets, and on Friday, they announced that the offense will be missing even more key players.

In the tie against Green Bay, starting left tackle Tyler Guyton left early with concussion symptoms, while wide receiver Kavontae Turpin suffered a foot injury. Both missed practice all week, and two days before the Week 5 matchup, the Cowboys ruled them out for Sunday’s game against New York.

However, Dallas could also be without more important pieces come game day, as left guard Tyler Smith (knee), running back Miles Sanders (knee/ankle), and linebacker Kenneth Murray (knee) have all been listed as questionable.

"Tyler Guyton out so Cowboys down three starting OL," ESPN's Todd Archer wrote on X. "Tyler Smith questionable but did not practice this week."

The Cowboys will face the Jets on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET and will hope to get healthy before their Week 6 matchup against the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte.
