Cowboys QB’s Personal News Emerges Before Panthers Game

The Dallas Cowboys enter Week 6 on a high after a dominant 37-22 win over the New York Jets in Week 5. Dak Prescott delivered one of his sharpest performances of the season, completing 18 of 29 passes for 237 yards and four touchdowns without a turnover. The victory marked a strong bounce-back effort for Dallas, which improved to .500 on the season and continued to build rhythm on offense despite lingering injury concerns.

With the team gaining much-needed momentum from the victory, the Cowboys now turn their attention to their home matchup against the struggling Carolina Panthers, aiming to extend their winning streak and move up the NFC East standings.

As the team prepares for Sunday’s game, Dallas received good news on the personnel front.

According to ESPN’s Todd Archer, backup quarterback Joe Milton III returned to practice on Friday after missing Thursday’s session for the birth of his child

“Joe Milton III did not practice Thursday due to the birth of his child, according to Brian Schottenheimer. He is back today.”

He also confirmed that the defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. returned to practice after a brief illness ruled him out the previous day.

“So is Dante Fowler Jr., who is also back after missing Thursday with an illness.”

Milton’s return ensures quarterback depth behind Prescott, while Fowler’s recovery bolsters the Cowboys’ defensive line rotation.

The positive update comes amid owner Jerry Jones’ recent remarks that several injured players are nearing returns, including offensive linemen Tyler Smith and Tyler Guyton, who have both been limited in recent weeks. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb also appears to be progressing in his recovery after Archer reported he underwent rehab for a right ankle sprain on Wednesday.

Jones confirmed earlier this week that “help is on the way” and it seems the team will have some of its key pieces back soon.

With Milton and Fowler back in the fold and key starters trending toward availability, Dallas looks healthier heading into Week 6 than it has in weeks.
