If you have not already seen, the Dallas Cowboys are making the trip up to Los Angeles to hold a joint practice against the Los Angeles Rams.
Next week on August 18th, the Saints will come to Oxnard and Dallas will have another joint practice against the team by former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.
Last year, the Rams made the trip to California and practiced with Dallas, but now with Dallas heading, it will be good for the starters to get some reps as we probably want to see them at all during any preseason games. They for sure are not playing this Saturday against Seattle, which has already been announced.
There is no Cowboys practice today but we will get a chance to talk to the assistant coaches later this afternoon. Cowboys travel to Woodland Hills tomorrow to practice against the Rams.

Not only will this be a good test for the new-look defense going up against and getting a few reps against the reigning NFL MVP Matthew Stafford, but it will be good for the Dallas offense.
The offensive line will be able to get some work against what folks are calling maybe one of the best defensive lines in football now that the reigning defensive player of the Myles Garrett, is part of their squad.
It will be a good test for Tyler Guyton and possibly Nate Thomas, who are still battling for the starting left tackle spot. Right now, it seems like Guyton has the upper hand, but this will give out a good reading real fast.
Terence Steele, on the other hand, hopefully will not be a disaster either. I could be way wrong here, but I don’t expect everyone to go all out outside of maybe one two or maybe even three drives, but we will see what happens today.
I think the best player to watch will be Steele as he will probably have to guard Myles Garrett, and like I noted, it will probably be a disaster.
Then I would keep an eye on Caleb Downs. It will be interesting to see how much Christian Parker moves him around and what he plans to do with him.
This would be a good time to experiment with that. My guess is that you might see him keeping an eye on the Rams tight end Terrance Ferguson. He will find Adams and Nacua a few times as well, but Downs will be a fun one to watch against that offense today.

It will be interesting to see how George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb do today. I expect them both to get theirs, but I will keep a close eye on those two studs also.
It will be a interesting and fun practice today to watch. We will see what happens, but it will be a good test for the defense against the starters of the Rams for a handful of drives. It would be nice to see them make a couple of solid plays just to give them some confidence.
One last player to watch will be Cobie Durant who I think has been the best cornerback on the team so far this summer. He left the Rams as a free agent last year and signed with Dallas. He should have a nice chip on his shoulder.
“Overly excited … I went up against that offense for four years,” said Durant, who signed with Dallas in March as a free agent. “It’s a high‑powered offense with Matthew Stafford, the running backs in the backfield, the wide receiving corps. It’s exciting when you’re practicing and going up against it. But now I’m here with the Dallas Cowboys, running a new defense with new guys. Now you’re actually gonna get to see what the guy next to you is really about going up against another offense.”
It will be a fun day today.
