Cowboys Rookie Jaydon Blue Issues Healthy Prediction For Final Preseason Game vs. Falcons

Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer stated that he was optimistic and hopeful that rookie running back Jaydon Blue would suit up in the final preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Having not practiced since his foot/ankle injury in Oxnard, Blue has been wrapped in bubble wrap ever since as the coaching staff plays the cautious game with its speedy back.

But now, as the Cowboys began their night practice inside The Star on Tuesday, Blue was seen in pads and wearing his helmet.

Trending positively, indeed.

He then participated in team drills, and showed off his quick feet to the crowd.

And speaking after practice? Yeah, Jaydon's playing against Atlanta.

"Oh, I'm playing," Blue said.

“I’m feeling great, I feel I’m back to myself,” he added. “I think I was having a great camp before I went down. I know a lot of these guys and the coaches know what I can do on the football field. I'm just ready to showcase that in a game this Friday."

Phil Mafah, Deuce Vaughn, Miles Sanders, and Malik Davis will be others who will be wanting snaps against the Falcons (we assume that Javonte Williams might sit as he continues to be viewed as the starter), so Blue might be on a snap count, as we know Schottenheimer has an individual plan for how involved his players are in the preseason outings.

We have seen Blue flash with the first team in Oxnard, now after getting through practice and looking sharp, he's going to see the field for the first time this preseason.

Time to get this run game rolling, Jaydon.
