Just over a year ago DeMarcus Lawrence was coming off back-to-back Pro Bowl appearances as a star pass rusher for the Dallas Cowboys. But after letting his deal expire, the Cowboys are letting him walk.

It didn't take particularly long for Lawrence to find a new team either. According to NFL insiders Tom Pelissero, Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport, Lawrence is signing a three-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks. The deal is worth up to $42 million with $18 million guaranteed.

NFL fans feel that it's a massive get for the Seahawks and a substantial loss for the Cowboys:

"Wow! Some news. People need to really focus on the guarantee portion of this. It’s not a lot and will be easy to move off if need be. He’s just a year off from being elite and missed last year because of injury I believe. Very good signing imo. #Seahawks," one fan replied on X.

"Yeah let’s just let dlaw and jlew walk with all the cap space we have and trade for a bum outta buffalo. I’m back down to 3% hopeful on the season. Saw we signed some guy from the bears that was a UDFA and made playing time. Cool story but why shop bargain," a Cowboys fan remarked.

"Damn all Cowboys got now is Micah Parsons on that D Line."

"Not bad if he can stay healthy for under 20 smackaroos guaranteed. At least our D Line can cause some problems."

DeMarcus Lawrence has played his entire NFL career with the Cowboys. In 11 seasons he's played in 141 games and recorded 61.5 sacks with 97 tackles for loss and 126 QB hits, making four Pro Bowls and one All-Pro selection. He's enjoyed two double-digit sack seasons.

However, injuries have cost him 23 games over the past four years.

Do you think the Seahawks got a good deal with this contract? Will the Cowboys regret letting Lawrence hit free agency?
