CeeDee Lamb didn’t hold back when talking about Micah Parsons and his contract drama with the Dallas Cowboys. With a mix of jokes and real talk, Lamb gave fans a glimpse of what the vibe’s like in the locker room as things heat up between Parsons and the front office.
Parsons might be locked in a contract standoff, but Lamb isn’t letting the tension kill the locker-room vibe. When asked about his teammate’s contract drama, Lamb didn’t flinch. He didn’t give a PR-friendly answer either. Instead, he dropped a line that had everyone laughing and thinking.
“@MicahhParsons11 just needs to keep his head,” Lamb said Wednesday. “This thing’ll get done. And when it does, we’ll all act like this never happened and I’ll ask him for $100,000.” He cracked the joke with a grin, but the meaning ran deeper. Lamb has been exactly where Parsons is now, staring down the Dallas front office, waiting for a real offer.

Last summer, Lamb sat out most of training camp before finally getting paid. Now, he’s watching the Cowboys repeat history. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter told host Pat McAfee this week that the talks with Parsons have gone backward. Four months of negotiations have collapsed into silence. “It’s not a negotiation right now,” Schefter said bluntly.
Lamb understands the Cowboys’ strategy. Wait. Push. Drag it out. He warned Parsons about it, too. “Playing this media game with Jerry is not the best,” he said. “Not fun. Not recommended.” Lamb got his deal. Dak Prescott got his after two franchise tags. Parsons, one of the NFL’s top defensive players, is next in line for Dallas’ long-play routine.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys’ front office keeps defending itself. Stephen Jones insists they don’t delay deals. But the evidence stacks up. The locker room sees it. And for now, Lamb’s doing his part, backing his teammate, joking through the pressure and quietly reminding everyone what it takes to survive a Cowboys contract year.
He’s been through this already. Now he’s watching Parsons walk the same line.
