Dak Prescott, Cowboys Suffer Double Loss on Monday

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys fell to 1-2 to start the 2025 NFL season after a 31-14 loss to Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears in Week 3. Prescott finished Sunday's game with 251 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions with George Pickens as the Cowboys' lead receiver for the majority of the game.

All-Pro wideout CeeDee Lamb opened the game as the Cowboys’ top option, but with 8:39 left in the first quarter, the former Oklahoma Sooners star suffered a high ankle sprain on a designed run. He returned for the next play but was then ruled out for the rest of the game. And on Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Lamb would be reevaluated in 10-14 days, leaving Prescott without his best pass catcher for the Week 4 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

"Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb suffered a high ankle sprain during Sunday’s loss to the Bears that makes him unlikely to play Sunday night vs. the Packers, per sources," Schefter wrote on X. "The Cowboys want to see how Lamb is doing the next 10-14 days before making further determinations about his status."

Yet the unfortunate day wasn't done for Prescott and Dallas as another key offensive player was also ruled out for multiple weeks.

Right guard Tyler Booker was selected by the Cowboys with the No. 12 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, expected to fill in for former All-Pro Zack Martin, who retired over the offseason. The former Alabama Crimson Tide standout was named a starter immediately, helping protect Prescott, who has 800 passing yards through three games, fourth in the NFL.

But like Lamb, Booker also went down with a high ankle sprain against the Bears, and the rookie will miss four to six weeks with the injury, according to ESPN's Todd Archer. Booker joins center Cooper Beebe among Dallas' injured starting offensive linemen.

"The Cowboys will be without rookie guard Tyler Booker for 4-6 weeks because of a high ankle sprain suffered vs. the Bears, per source," Archer wrote on X. "He played all 74 snaps. T.J. Bass looms as starter. Cowboys already w/o C Cooper Beebe for at least next three games."

The Cowboys will hope for some positive news to come this week as Daron Bland (foot) nears his season debut. But the offense could be in trouble when the Packers' Micah Parsons makes his return to Dallas in Week 4's edition of "Sunday Night Football."
