Dak Prescott, Cowboys Suffer Double Setback on Monday

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys finished out the month of November on a three-game winning streak, jumping to 6-5-1 on the 2025 NFL season after a 31-28 Week 13 win over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving. Now, the Cowboys will look to keep their playoff hopes alive, facing the Detroit Lions in Week 14's edition of "Thursday Night Football."

Prescott had yet another impressive day against last season's Super Bowl runners-up. The former Mississippi State quarterback completed 27-of-39 passes for 320 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. And wideout George Pickens continued his impressive first year in Dallas with six catches for 88 yards.

But against Kansas City, Prescott was without one of his top offensive linemen, as second-year left tackle Tyler Guyton was ruled out with an ankle injury. Guyton sustained a high ankle sprain in the Cowboys’ Week 12 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, and on Sunday, coach Brian Schottenheimer said the tackle was “moving around a little bit better.”

But on Monday, the Cowboys released their initial injury report for Week 14, and while Prescott was hoping to see his left tackle return, Guyton remained a non-participant in practice. To make matters worse, Pickens was added to the report as a limited participant with a knee/ankle issue.

Defensive end Jedeveon Clowney was also a notable DNP for Dallas, while cornerback Trevon Diggs, who has missed the last six games, was limited.

"First practice report of the week for the #Cowboys - Jadeveon Clowney, Tyler Guyton both DNP - George Pickens, Trevon Diggs limited," Cowboys staff writer Tommy Yarrish wrote on X.

Prescott and the Cowboys will host Jared Goff and the Lions on Thursday at 8:15 p.m. ET on Amazon.
