Dak Prescott had a memorable 10th season with the Dallas Cowboys in 2025. The 32-year-old was a bright spot in an otherwise forgettable campaign for the Cowboys. Dallas finished with a 7-9-1 record and missed the NFL playoffs for a second straight season.

Prescott was named to the Pro Bowl squad for the fourth time in his career. He played all 17 games for the Cowboys, registering a league-high 404 completions, 4,552 passing yards and 30 touchdowns.

Prescott also added 177 yards on the ground and two rushing TDs on 53 carries. However, all of Prescott’s efforts were still not enough as Dallas fell short of the postseason again.

Jerry Jones and the Cowboys' front office have since been busy making changes to the squad. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer has kept his job, but there has been a major coaching overhaul under him.

The biggest move involved firing Matt Eberflus as defensive coordinator after just one season at the helm. After an exhaustive search, the Cowboys hired Christian Parker as their new DC.

On Wednesday, during a public appearance for the Children’s Cancer Fund, Prescott shared his thoughts on Parker’s arrival.

"Excited about that hire," Prescott said. "Yeah, I've obviously met him, talked to him briefly, but excited just for the demeanor, the way he carries himself and met the whole staff."

The Cowboys poached Parker from their NFC East rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, where he served as the passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach over the past two seasons.

Prescott revealed that he spoke to a couple of Eagles players about Parker.

"When you go to the Pro Bowl, you get to meet guys," Prescott continued. "You get to talk to Zack Baun, Cooper DeJean, guys that played under him. And just to hear how much they loved him, how much they loved playing for him, how excited our guys are going to be. [I’m] super pumped."

Prescott won’t be working directly under Parker. However, the Cowboys QB1 is clearly hyped about his team’s big offseason move and what it means for 2026 and beyond.
