There are a lot of questions that still remain about the Cowboys' Brian Schottenheimer hire, but not in the eyes of their quarterback.
After serving as Dallas' offensive coordinator for the past couple years, the team decided to promote Schtottenheimer to head coach after parting ways with Mike McCarthy.
Schottenheimer has no head coaching experience himself but is the son of the late Marty Schottenheimer who had tremendous success in the NFL.
Dak Prescott is somebody who's been onboard since day one, however. And he recently talked about what the feeling's been like in the Cowboys' locker room with their new HC at the helm.
"Just excitement," Prescott said, via Jon Machota. "I've known Schotty. He's been there the last three years, first year being a consultant, that it's not any monumental conversations that needed to happen, but his direction and the way he sees this offense going, the way he sees this team knowing, it's clear throughout the team with the guys, with the men he's hired as coaches, the way he's got this whole building on the same page. Just excited for this chapter under him."
The 51-year-old has had numerous stops in the pros where he's served as a coordinator for the Jags, Seahawks, Rams and Jets. And he also served as OC and quarterbacks coach for the Georgia Bulldogs back in 2015.
Dak seems pretty confident that Schottenheimer is the right man for the job but time will ultimately tell.
Prescott had arguably the best season of his career with Schottenheimer drawing up the offense back in 2023.
That year he completed a career-high 69.5% of his passes for 4,516 yards and a league-best 36 touchdowns, on his way to a 12-5 record and second-place finish in MVP voting.
