Dak Prescott Sends Message to Christian McCaffrey After Exciting Personal News
© Candice Ward-USA TODAY Sports

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey had similar outcomes to the 2024 NFL season.

Both teams failed to make the postseason for the first time since 2020, with the 49ers coming off a Super Bowl appearance in 2023. McCaffrey wasn't able to play in 2024 until Week 10, dealing with Achilles tendonitis. After four games, the former Carolina Panthers star suffered a different knee injury, leaving him out for the season.

Prescott, on the other hand, had the Cowboys at 3-4 before suffering his season-ending hamstring injury in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Back in December, at the tail end of the season, Prescott and his fianceé, Sarah Jane Ramos, revealed that they were expecting their second child in May 2025. This came less than a year after they welcomed their first daughter, Margaret Jane "MJ" Rose, in February 2024.

Sure enough, on Monday, one month into the offseason, McCaffrey and his wife, Olivia Culpo, also revealed that they were expecting their first child with a post on Instagram. They used many clips of the two showing off Culpo's baby bump and an ultrasound photo. The video also featured the song "Bloom" by The Paper Kites.

Despite the past Prescott and the Cowboys have with the 49ers, the former Mississippi State quarterback showed lowed to McCaffrey with a one-word comment: "Congratulations!!! ❤️"

"," Culpo and McCaffrey captioned their duel Instagram post.

Prescott would agree that fatherhood is a different kind of experience, a world McCaffrey is about to experience. At a Children's Cancer Fund event in Dallas in March 2024, one month after welcoming Margaret to the world, Prescott opened up about being a dad for one of the first times, calling it "special."

"When you wake up in the morning and you see that baby, you understand responsibilities," Prescott said. "And everything that I've always wanted for myself, but you want that for somebody else even more. Yeah, it's special."

Although Prescott and McCaffrey had down years in 2024, many are expecting the two Pro Bowlers to return to competitive teams in 2025. The Cowboys, however, will look much different with coach Mike McCarthy on his way out and Brian Schottenheimer replacing him.
