The Dallas Cowboys have won three straight games, and they are brimming with confidence right now after beating last year's Super Bowl contenders in back-to-back games. After taking care of business against the Philadelphia Eagles, America's Team pulled off another stunner against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving.
At 6-5-1, however, Dallas will need to win its remaining games if it wants a better shot at making the postseason. The Cowboys are currently ninth in the NFC standings with just a 17% playoff probability.
Dallas plays the Detroit Lions next, which is a crucial showdown since Dan Campbell's squad is eighth in the NFC.
Sure enough, Dak Prescott is wary of the Lions and the threat they pose. Speaking to reporters on Monday as the Cowboys prepare for the Week 14 showdown, the veteran quarterback made sure to remind his teammates what they need to do.
The Lions are one of the most physical teams in the league, and their ground-heavy style of play on offense is often a problem for opposing teams. That being said, Prescott wants his Cowboys to fight fire with fire.
"We've got to embrace it…that's something we hang our hat on, and we're physical as well," Prescott said on the Lions' physicality and what the Cowboys can do to fight them, per Ed Werder of WFAA.
"That's a stable of who they are. We've just got to know that. We got to know the importance of being physical more than ever."
Dak Prescott says emphasis on being physical vs Lions: “We’ve got to embrace it…that's something we hang our hat on, and we're physical as well. That’s a stable of who they are. We’ve just got to know that. We got to know the importance of being physical more than ever.” pic.twitter.com/VWCjBWu5eg

The Lions have lost two of their last three games, bowing to the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers. Considering that they are also contending for a playoff spot, it's safe to assume that they will be equally desperate to get a win against the Cowboys.
Dallas has the momentum on its side, and the optimism surrounding the team is certainly at an all-time high. However, as Prescott suggested, they can't be complacent, especially against another high-caliber squad.
