The Dallas Cowboys could be primed to add a dynamic weapon to the offense alongside quarterback Dak Prescott.

While the Cowboys could look to bolster the running game with one of the top backs in a loaded class at the position, Dallas is doing extensive work on one of the top receivers as the draft approaches.

Dallas went into its backyard to get a look at a dynamic playmaker at one of the Cowboys’ most glaring positions of need, entering 2025.

Wednesday, the Cowboys hosted University of Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden for a pre-draft visit, he announced on his social media.

Golden, 6-feet and 195 pounds, averaged 17 yards per reception last season while pulling down 58 catches for 987 yards and nine touchdowns.

A speed demon, who was a focal point of the Longorns’ passing game and a potential top-20 pick in the upcoming draft, Golden ran the 40-yard dash in a blazing 4.29 seconds, the fastest among wide receivers at the NFL Combine.

The Cowboys continue their search for a consistent playmaker opposite CeeDee Lamb, and Golden could be an ideal fit in the first round.
