Micah Parsons shocked the NFL world when he requested a trade from the Dallas Cowboys after failing to come to an agreement to extend his stay with the Lone Star. The star defensive end/linebacker landed in Green Bay, joining the Packers to put them one step closer to another Super Bowl.
However, Parsons’ first season with the team turned out to be bittersweet. While he played at a good level, he suffered a season-ending ACL injury that kept him sidelined during the playoffs.
On the other end, the Cowboys struggled mightily, allowing 511 points, the most in franchise history. Even so, they have no regrets about shipping Parsons to Wisconsin.
During an appearance on Chris Russo’s SiriusXM radio show, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones defended the move.
“We feel really good about it,” Jones said on Tuesday. “Obviously, much respect for Micah and what he stands for and how he plays, and the caliber of player he is. But at the same time, we feel good about what we’ve added via that trade.”

After firing Matt Eberflus as defensive coordinator, they signed Christian Parker. Additionally, they added Rashaad Gary via trade and signed safety Jalen Thompson, cornerback Cobie Durant, defensive end Sam Williams and safety P.J. Locke, elevating their level.
The Cowboys have renewed expectations after a busy offseason. They look good on paper, but they need to prove it on the field.
