UPDATE #2: Per the NBC broadcast, the league announced players will take the field for warm-ups at 11:15 p.m. ET and play will resume at 11:30 p.m. ET.

UPDATE #1: Mike Tirico from NBC said the area is expected to be clear of lighting at 11:15 p.m. ET and then game protocols require an additional 12 minutes to resume play.

The season opener between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles was suspended due to lighting in the area with the score 24-20 in the Eagles' favor with 4:44 remaining in the third quarter.

There were questions about the original kickoff time, but the teams escaped trouble and action began as scheduled at 8:20 p.m. Now, however, the game is suspended and the restart time is TBD. Lincoln Financial Stadium asked fans exit the seating area and take shelter in the concourses.

Earlier on Thursday, weather reports indicated clouds were moving toward the Eagles' Lincoln Financial Field. Steady rain hit the stadium at around 7:00 p.m., per multiple reports.
