The Dallas Cowboys are facing growing criticism after suffering a 23-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. The defeat dropped Dallas to 2-4, raising fresh questions about the team’s mistakes and leadership.

Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer acknowledged the problems after his team struggled to compete during the first half. Dallas trailed 17-0 at halftime and committed costly turnovers that prevented scoring opportunities.

“The effort is right. The fight is right, but mistakes are killing us,” Schottenheimer said. “Repeating mistakes is not what we are about, but we gotta protect the football. Five turnovers in two games is not very good.”

Cowboys writer Clarence Hill Jr. delivered a harsher assessment on X following the loss.

“The Cowboys have gone from embarrassing to inexcusable and unconscionable,” Hill wrote.

Fans also turned their frustration toward Schottenheimer and the front office. One supporter responded to the coach’s comments by writing, “The mistake of keeping you in payroll.”

Another fan pointed toward the team’s leadership, saying, “The mistake is the ‘GM.’”

Others questioned Dallas’ offseason decisions and offensive line problems.

“Never addressed the OL issues during the offseason,” one fan wrote. “We have the worst offensive tackles and never push for downfield pass plays. I can only speculate, but something tells me our key players do not practice in the offseason or before a game until game time.”

Another frustrated supporter demanded immediate action, writing, “Mistakes??? Bro, he’s killing us! Fire him!”

The loss also revived criticism of Dallas’ decision to trade Micah Parsons to Green Bay. One fan joked, “Green Bay won trade and Parsons wasn’t even playing.”

Green Bay controlled much of the game, holding Dallas scoreless in the first half. Quarterback Jordan Love threw a touchdown and added a rushing score, while the Packers intercepted Dak Prescott twice.

Prescott finished with 258 passing yards and one touchdown, but his turnovers hurt Dallas’ chances of mounting a comeback.

Schottenheimer insisted the Cowboys must find solutions rather than repeat their mistakes.

So, Dallas now faces mounting pressure to respond before its upcoming matchup against Philadelphia.
