Week 1 is here. Soon, it will be time for the first game of the 2025 NFL regular season — the Philadelphia Eagles versus the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field.
Ahead of Thursday’s highly anticipated matchup between NFC East foes, both teams unveiled their inactives list. Defensive tackle Mazi Smith is a surprise inactive for Dallas. He was not listed on the injury report prior to the game.

Both teams are relatively healthy after dealing with some major question marks coming into the game. For Dallas, they were uncertain if cornerback Trevon Diggs and left tackle Tyler Guyton would play. Diggs came off the physically unable to perform (PUP) list Aug. 24 and has been able to practice over the last two weeks.
Diggs, who underwent an ACL repair in 2023 and a chondral tissue graft procedure in January, could see work as the Cowboys’ third cornerback Thursday and play in passing situations with DaRon Bland moving into the slot, per Todd Archer of ESPN.
Guyton, meanwhile, was initially feared to have suffered a torn ACL in practice July 28. After further testing, he was diagnosed with a broken bone in his knee. Guyton rehabbed the injury and worked with the first-team offense in recent practices in preparation for Thursday’s game.
For the Eagles, center Landon Dickerson is officially active. Dickerson had been listed on the injury report with a back injury, though he also underwent meniscus surgery Aug. 13. He’s gotten healthy in time for Week 1, a huge plus for Philadelphia’s offensive line.
