Dalton Kincaid Fantasy Football Week 2 Takeaways

So far, the biggest surprise at tight end in fantasy football this year has easily been Dalton Kincaid. With the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions kicking off Week 2 of the NFL season, it gave Kincaid an opportunity to shine.

I’ll admit I was a little bit skeptical about Kincaid because, despite being a big fan of him as a prospect, he never really worked out early on.

There was always a lack of involvement, and Dawson Knox was simply too involved to let Kincaid thrive. Before 2026, Kincaid had never passed 11 PPG, and in years one and two, he never crossed 10 PPG.

In 2026, it seems that’s no longer the case, and Buffalo seems to have finally unlocked Kincaid.

Dalton Kincaid Week 2 Fantasy Football Production & Snaps

Through two games, Kincaid is dominating with 20.2 PPG. In week one, Kincaid had 18 fantasy points on five catches, six targets, and 130 yards. Then, in Week 2, Kincaid increased that to eight targets, seven catches, and a touchdown, although his yards went to 95.

The thing is that Knox actually had 56 snaps compared to Kincaid at 49, but the difference is that Kincaid ran 27 routes while Knox had 18. Comparing those 27 routes run to the rest of this offense, it was the second most on the entire team, just behind Keon Coleman at 28.

Then, in terms of targets, Knox only had two, while Kincaid led the team with eight. It’s clear that Kincaid is being prioritized for his receiving skillset while the rest of these tight ends are rotating in to help play those more traditional alignment roles.

At this point, I’m feeling really good about Dalton Kincaid going forward, given how he’s being utilized in Buffalo, and it looks like he could end up being a league winner.
