Dalvin Cook Gives Update On Where He Will Be Playing in 2024

Things did not go according to plan for Dalvin Cook this past season.

The four-time Pro Bowl running back signed with the New York Jets last summer after being released by the Minnesota Vikings and anticipated playing a significant role for a Super Bowl hopeful.

Instead, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a torn Achilles on New York’s first offensive series of the season, ending Gang Green’s championship aspirations.

The injury to Rodgers also severely altered Cook’s trajectory with the Jets.

Cook carried the ball just 67 times for 214 yards in 15 games with New York, logging only 15 catches for 78 yards. New York waived Cook late in the season, and he proceeded to sign with the Baltimore Ravens. However, he did not get any playing time with the Ravens at all.

Now, the 28-year-old remains a free agent with training camp around the corner, but during a Wednesday appearance on NFL Network, Cook provided a little update on his current situation.

“It’s wide open, man. It’s wide open to be honest,” Cook said. “I’m in contact with my agent Zach every day about the possible landing spots for me. … I let him take care of what he’s got to take care of.”

Cook added that he is definitely prepared to get back on the field.

“I’ve just got to be ready to go,” he said. “… I’m feeling great. I’m feeling like myself.”
