David Pollack has been a trusted voice in the college football world for years. Pollack played as a linebacker and defensive lineman for the Georgia Bulldogs from 2002 to 2004. In that time, he racked up three All-American selections and two SEC Defensive Player of the Year awards.
He was drafted with the 17th overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals and played just 16 games in the league, totaling 29 tackles, 4.5 sacks and one fumble recovery. He was forced to retire from playing due to a serious neck injury.
After his playing days were over, Pollack became a college football analyst, where his career took off.
Pollack worked as an analyst on ESPN's "College GameDay" from 2011 until 2023, when he was fired by the network just two months before the start of the college football season.
Since he was fired, Pollack has stayed independent, giving his own takes on the sport from his personal social media accounts, including his college football podcast on YouTube, "See Ball Get Ball with David Pollack."
Pollack is not only known for his work within sports, but he is also known for his work within the community. In 2016, Pollack and his wife, Lindsey, founded the Pollack Family Foundation, helping "educate and encourage individuals, families and communities on the benefits of nutrition and exercise with a focus of raising awareness about childhood obesity," according to the foundation's website.
On Friday, Pollack posted on X a reply to the foundation's post about its Free Community Thanksgiving Feast.
"Amazing opportunity if you wanna help us this year. Thank you Jesus!!" Pollack said.

The community event, titled the "Banquet of Blessings," will take place on Nov. 23 at The Classic Center Grand Hall in Athens, Georgia.
This is an event that Pollack and his foundation also held in 2024, and he said it was a resounding success.
This announcement comes one day before Pollack's alma mater, No. 9 Georgia, takes on the No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
