Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is one of one. His elite production matched with his Hall of Fame intangibles makes Hopkins one of the most valuable players on the Titans roster.
Hopkins had to do most of the heavy lifting last season with a lackluster supporting cast of receivers alongside him. However, after the free agency additions of Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd, Hopkins aims to re-establish himself as the WR1 in Brian Callahan's offense.

Ridley, on the other hand, absolutely has WR1 potential. He posted 1,016 receiving yards with the Jaguars in 2023, but isn't too far removed from his 2020 campaign in which he recorded 90 catches for 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns.
While Ridley's presence will undoubtedly open things up for Hopkins, the future Hall of Famer acknowledges there will be a competition for the role as Will Levis' go-to guy in 2024.
"I'm always competing," Hopkins said after the team's OTA on Tuesday. "Anytime we get anyone who was the number one receiver my mindset is to go out there and outcompete them and outdo them. I've always had that mindset. Kobe Bryant being my favorite athlete of all-time, anytime I get the chance to compete against anyone I'm trying to outcompete them, I'm trying to outdo them. It's only going to make the team better."
Hopkins hasn't played second fiddle to anybody in his 11-year career. And he demonstrated that he still has plenty of gas left in his tank after putting up 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023 while overcoming some heinous quarterback play.
It will be an exciting training camp as Hopkins and Ridley set out to prove themselves in a new offense. There will be games where Hopkins leads the team in receiving just as there will be times where Ridley carries the load.
The fact that Hopkins is still hungry at this point in his career is a great sign for Will Levis and the Titans. With the regular season nearly four months away, Hopkins will bring a competitive fire to what has a chance to be the most talented group of wide receivers in Titans history
