Deebo Samuel might finally sign with a contender

The Los Angeles Rams have been the most aggressive team in the NFL offseason.

While they haven't made the most moves, they've definitely made some of the boldest, including trading for reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett.

However, with SoFi Stadium set to host the upcoming Super Bowl, they may not stop there.

They could still use another playmaker for their offense, given that they don't have much depth beyond Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. With that in mind, Bleacher Report's Brad Gagnon thinks they'll go after Deebo Samuel.

"That could mean Stefon Diggs, Tyreek Hill, Samuel, or a less glorified but familiar veteran like Josh Reynolds. I'm predicting it's Samuel because I get the sense they don't want to risk inviting the distractions that could come with Diggs and Hill, and I think Samuel is an ideal fit as a versatile addition to Sean McVay's creative offense," Gagnon wrote.

Gagnon added that, given McVay's familiarity with Samuel from his days in the NFC West with the San Francisco 49ers, this move makes even more sense for the Rams.

Outside of the Arizona Cardinals, the Rams play in the toughest division in football, and they will have to go the extra mile to take the Seattle Seahawks' crown.

Samuel may no longer be at the peak of his powers, but he still had a solid season with the Washington Commanders, hauling in 72 receptions for 727 yards and five touchdowns, according to Pro Football Reference.
