There are not many examples of players who can confidently claim that they can single-handedly tackle Derrick Henry to the ground. The Baltimore Ravens running back is a monster on the field, one that pounds through opponents every snap.
The bruising 6’ 2” 252 lb back is built like no other running back in the league. He takes his fitness and conditioning seriously and has used his physical traits along with his awareness and field vision to exploit opposition defenses.
Then, when they do get close to him, the Alabama alum uses his giant hands to either humiliate opponents with a stiff arm or shed tackles as he moves on to the next level.
Lastly, there is his breakaway speed, which is uncharacteristic of a person that big and heavy. Once he hits top speed, there are only a few who can chase him down, let alone use their strength to bring him down.
He used those skills to devastating effect against the Buffalo Bills in their season-opener, garnering 169 yards and 2 touchdowns. Up next, he will face the stout Cleveland Browns defense.
Their safety, Grant Delpit believes it is easy for him to bring down the monster running back. When reporters caught up with the Ravens’ star after practice, they asked him if he had seen Delpit’s comment.
I saw that. His coach had a quote, then he had a quote. We’ll see on Sunday.

The 31-year-old is not one to focus much on what others say. In this case, it seems he did, as he kept track of what the Browns have been saying after their opening week loss. It seems they are convinced they have it in them to win against the Ravens.
Derrick Henry is quite a handful for any defense. Somehow, from the Cleveland Browns’ words, it seems they believe they know and will stop the standout running back.
Many might wonder how highly they think of themselves. If one were to look at their season-opening game against the Cincinnati Bengals, it seems their defense had a great time limiting Joe Burrow.
They might have lost, but their opponent could not go on a scoring rampage the way they were accustomed to in the past. That should give those Browns players a chip on their shoulder, leading the team’s official X handle to repost a video of Grant Delpit tackling Henry.

However, Henry is a force on the field, and even the Buffalo Bills’ defense could not slow him down. Admittedly, they are a step behind the Browns’ defense, but it takes a lot to stop the running back.
Now, when one throws in Lamar Jackson and the improved offense in the mix, it will be quite a handful for the Ohio-based team come Sunday. Those comments could come back to bite them.
Grant Delpit was not the only Cleveland Browns player trying to belittle the Baltimore Ravens. Earlier, wide receiver Jerry Jeudy had some choice words about the latter’s defense. When reporters asked star safety Kyle Hamilton about those comments, he replied:
Was I not going to play hard before he said that? I’m going to play at the same level. If you need bulletin board material to go play, that’s a problem with you.

The two-time All-Pro mentioned that he does not care about what other players say. But if they do, it is a way for them to garner headlines, which is not something he is bothered about.

He and his defense will give it their best after crumbling in the face of late-game pressure from Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in their season opener.
