The Los Angeles Chargers are sitting at 0-4 and when you see their entire team, there’s a ton of questions around Jim Harbaugh, Mike McDaniel, and Justin Herbert. Despite there being immediate issues, there are also structural issues this team has to answer to build a legit contending team.
The biggest problem that I have with this potential trade is the $51,106,495 that the Chargers would be on the hook for in dead money if they were to trade him by this years trade deadline.
Lot of people asking about trading Derwin James. The new contract extension they did in March essentially makes it a non-starter because of the dead money the Chargers would have to take on.

If they wanted to do a post-June 1st trade next year, they could potentially make it… pic.twitter.com/Lb3daVUvAf
The Eagles have a young safety in Andrew Mukuba, but Marcus Epps has not been good at all. The Eagles seem to be heading towards a slight rebuild after trading away Cam Jurgens and losing Lane Johnson to retirement.
The 49ers are clearly an NFL team at the top of the ranks right now sitting at 4-0, but they could always get better. Just because the Rams got Myles Garrett did not stop them from going out and adding Aaron Donald back to the fold. James would be an absolute weapon on this team, and imagine him alongside Fred Warner in the box?
