Detroit Lions In the Middle Of a Great 2-Game Stretch

The Detroit Lions are putting together a two-game stretch for the ages. Over the last two weeks, the Lions became the first team since the 1970 AFL/NFL merger to compile the following numbers over any two-game span. They have amassed six passing touchdowns, six rushing touchdowns, and have not committed a turnover or surrendered a sack. As could be expected, this stretch has led to success on the gridiron. They have defeated the Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens 90-51 in back-to-back weeks. Can the Detroit Lions keep playing at such a high level?

The Detroit Lions Are Super Bowl Favorites Once More

The Lions have been one of the league’s best teams over the past two seasons. After disappointing playoff exits, Detroit has been firing on all cylinders over the past two games. As has been the case for the Detroit Lions in recent years, their offense is tremendous.

In 2025, Detroit is third in the league in total yards per game, fourth in rushing yards, and second in points. Quarterback Jared Goff is top 10 in the league in passing yards, passing touchdowns, and QBR. Wide Receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has also come out of the gates well. He is top 10 in the league in receptions, receiving yards, and tied for the league lead in receiving touchdowns.

Final Thoughts

The Detroit Lions will look to keep up their high level of play this Sunday when they host the Cleveland Browns. If the Lions can keep playing this well, they will be a threat in the NFC again this season.
