The Detroit Lions kept their foot on the gas on Thursday night in an intense rivalry showdown against the Green Bay Packers that kept the fans on the edge of their seats.
After a back-and-forth affair, it was the Lions who ultimately secured a hard-fought 34-31 win at Ford Field at the expense of their biggest rivals. Not only was this an important statement win against their NFC North foes, but Thursday's victory was also a historic feat for Detroit.
Not long after the final whistle, the Lions announced on X that the team had just made franchise history by securing their 11th straight win.
"For the first time in franchise history, the @Lions have won 11-straight games. #OnePride," the team's Football Communications Department posted.

This monumental victory required a total team effort from the Lions. Quarterback Jared Goff led the way with 32-of-41 completed passes for 283 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
Running back David Montgomery did his part with 14 carries for 51 yards and a touchdown. Arguably, the biggest surprise of the game, however, was wide receiver Tim Patrick, who had six receptions for 43 yards and two touchdowns.
The Lions have now also clinched a playoff spot after Thursday's win, but they have made it abundantly clear that they will not be resting on their laurels.
Up next for them is a Week 15 home matchup against the Buffalo Bills, who themselves are riding a seven-game winning streak. Detroit, however, will be looking to make it 12 in a row on Dec. 15 as they hope to give their faithful fans even more reasons to celebrate.
