The full Detroit Lions schedule will be released on Wednesday evening at some point, but we now know who the Lions will be facing Week 1. They're heading to Lambeu Field to take on the Green Bay Packers.

That puts the Lions in Fox's America's Game of the Week slot, and this will count as a nationally televised game for Detroit.
It's obviously huge to start the season off with a divisional rival on the road, but this has some great end-of-the-year implications for Detroit, too. Guess who no longer has to go play on "frozen tundra" in the wintertime. That would be your Detroit Lions.
The Lions could also get ahead of the Packers immediately in the standings, and this could play a big role in the NFC North race at the end of the year too.
