2021 NFL Draft prospects were in Indianapolis last week to undergo medical evaluations and it appears Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith got some good news.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Smith's finger is healing fine with "no issues ahead." The reigning Heisman Trophy winner dislocated and tore ligaments in his finger during the team's win over Ohio State in the national title game.
Rapoport adds that Smith's teammate Najee Harris had his ankle checked out and there are no concerns.
Two positive medical reports for two #Bama top prospects after a visit to Indy:

— RB Najee Harris’ ankle checked out well with no concerns & shouldn't affect his stock, sources say.
— WR Devonta Smith’s dislocated finger with torn ligaments is healing fine with no issues ahead.
Smith's injury prevented him from participating in the Senior Bowl. However, he did participate in one of Alabama's pro days.
The 22-year-old had the best season of his collegiate career in 2020, catching 117 passes for 1,856 yards and 23 touchdowns. He is projected to be a top pick in the 2021 draft.
