DJ Reader Still Unsigned, Expected to Visit NFC Contender

Defensive tackle DJ Reader is expected to visit the Lions, league sources tell All Bengals. 

The veteran is recovering after suffering a torn quad tendon in December. The Bengals are hoping to re-sign Reader, but the Lions have shown strong interest over the past few days. 

Reader, 29, is considered the top defensive tackle on the market with guys like Christian Wilkins and Leonard Williams agreeing to multi-year contracts. 

The Lions probably want to take a closer look at Reader and get an idea of where he's at physically before signing him to a long-term extension.
