DJ Turner II is trying to follow up an uneven rookie season with consistently strong play in 2024 as he and the Bengals take a break before training camp.

The cornerback posted a 51.5 PFF grade last season, including a 48.4 coverage grade.

"I just left some plays on the field," Turner told Bengals Talk's James Rapien. "Gotta finish way stronger. And so that's just the main thing you know, physically, mentally, everything you know, just hone in on all that and we're going into the season strong."

PFF slotted Turner with six pass breakups and four TDs allowed in coverage last season. He's now in competition with longtime teammate Dax Hill, but Turner is focused on how he can keep improving.

"It's been going good," Turner said about his offseason. "Getting back into the groove of things. Mandatory mini camp now got a couple more days gotta hit the summer strong and come back, get it going after that."
