Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter report that Dolphins DE Chop Robinson will likely draw interest as the trade deadline approaches.
However, the duo adds that the Dolphins view Robinson as part of their future rather than a trade piece, but will still answer calls at the deadline.
Robinson, 23, transferred to Penn State after his true freshman season at Maryland. He was named first-team All-Big Ten after the 2023 season, his junior year, and declared for the draft. The Dolphins used the No. 21 pick in the 2024 draft on him.
The No. 21 overall pick signed a four-year, $14,690,792 contract with a $7,504,213 signing bonus and a $2,671,053 cap hit for 2024. The contract includes a fifth-year option for the team to pick up in 2028.
In 2026, Robinson has appeared in five games for the Dolphins, recording five tackles and one sack.
