The Miami Dolphins (6-7) kept their playoff push alive and Tua Tagovailoa kept his perfect record against the New York Jets (3-10) intact, rolling to a 34–10 win at MetLife Stadium for their fourth straight victory. On a brisk afternoon that once again tested his cold-weather narrative, Tagovailoa delivered a steady, turnover-free performance while Miami’s ground game overwhelmed New York from start to finish.

Tagovailoa moved to 8–0 in games played against the Jets, completing 13 of 21 passes for 127 yards before exiting late with the outcome secured. He opened the scoring with a 3-yard touchdown to Jaylen Waddle, and Miami never looked back.

The Dolphins piled up 239 rushing yards despite losing De’Von Achane in the second quarter to a rib issue after he had already racked up 92 yards and a touchdown. With Achane sidelined, Jaylen Wright stepped in and delivered a career-best 107 yards and his first NFL touchdown, while rookie Ollie Gordon II added another score.

Miami’s defense smothered a Jets offense that never recovered from losing Tyrod Taylor to a groin injury in the first quarter. Undrafted rookie Brady Cook was forced into action and finished with 163 yards and two interceptions as the Jets were officially eliminated from playoff contention for the 15th straight season, the league’s longest active drought. Zach Sieler led a relentless pass rush with 2.5 of the Dolphins’ six sacks.

New York’s lone highlight came from the special teams unit, when Isaiah Williams returned a punt 78 yards for a touchdown late in the first quarter. The Jets also converted a fake punt in the second half, but both sparks fizzled as their offense continued to stall.

Injuries

Dolphins: LB Caleb Johnson (shoulder) exited in the first quarter; S Elijah Campbell left with knee and ankle injuries.

Jets: TE Mason Taylor (stinger), TE Stone Smartt (possible concussion), DE Tyler Baron (knee), and LB Kiko Mauigoa (shoulder) all left the game.
