Dolphins’ QB Tua Tagovailoa sets career-high for passing yards in a season

A former Alabama quarterback has his AFC team in the playoffs for the National Football League.

Tua Tagovailoa propelled the Miami Dolphins to an 11-4 record after Sunday’s 22-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. He completed 24 of 37 passes for 293 yards and a touchdown. He led the Dolphins on a marquee drive late in the fourth quarter to win the matchup. Tagovailoa’s passing abilities, toughness, and leadership was doubted in the offseason.

The native Hawaiian stayed healthy and is the reason why Miami looks to grab the AFC East Division crown. He set a career-high for passing yards this season, eclipsing 4,000 yards.

Tagovailoa has 4,214 yards passing on completing 70.5 percent of his throws. He has 26 touchdown passes, which ties him for sixth in the NFL among quarterback. Tagovailoa played with confidence at Alabama, and it allowed him to be a College Football Playoff National Champion.

He has now become a force to be reckoned with in the pros.
