Dolphins Sign Jamaree Salyer
Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports the Dolphins are signing offensive linemen Jamaree Salyer to a one-year contract.
Salyer has played in 64 games, started 40, and has a lot of experience at left tackle and right guard.
It may be a sign that Miami plans to have Salyer compete with Jonah Savaiinaea for the starting job at left guard in training camp.
Or Miami may plan to use him as a backup swing tackle on the offensive line, or some combination of both; we will have to wait and see.
Last season for the Chargers, Salyer played 13 games and started 5.
Jamaree Salyer played 250 snaps at LT in 2025, 157 snaps at RG, and 42 snaps at RT In 2024, he played 57 snaps at LT, 260 snaps at RG, and 1 snap at RT In 2023, he played 1,144 snaps at RG and no snaps at any other position. In 2022, he played 988 snaps at LT and none at any other position.Salyer is a former 6th-round pick of the Chargers in 2022 and spent his entire career with them.
As a rookie in 2022, he played in 17 games, starting 14.
In 2023, he played and started in all 17 games.
In 2024, he only started 4 games.
For those into PFF, last season he had an overall grade of 62.2, ranking him 61st out of 89 offensive tackles.
He had a PFF pass blocking grade of 68.2, ranking him 46th out of 89 offensive tackles.
His run blocking grade was 61.5, ranking him 58th out of 89 offensive tackles.
Per source, Dolphins are adding OL Jamaree Salyer, who has started 40 games at guard and tackle for the Chargers over the past four years. Immediate contender to start at LG for Miami. Has played lots of LT and LG.

Miami released James Daniels this offseason, and Larry Borom and Cole Strange left via free agency.
At worst, Salyer is a great depth piece for Miami to bring in, and at best, he is someone who can possibly start at one of the offensive guard positions.
I still fully expect Miami to use an early-round draft pick on an offensive lineman to beef up that line and give it more size and strength.
