Dolphins Sign LB Ronnie Harrison

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports the Dolphins have signed linebacker Ronnie Harrison to a one-year deal.

Harrison was a 3rd round pick of Jacksonville in 2018. He has played for Jacksonville, Cleveland, Indianapolis, and Atlanta.

He has played in 94 NFL games, starting 52, and he has 8.5 career sacks.

In 2025 in Atlanta, Harrison played in 10 games, he started 4 and had 2 sacks and 29 tackles.

He started last season on the practice squad in Atlanta, but was called up to the main roster in late October.

The Dolphins signed Joshua Uche and Robert Beal earlier this month to help with their pass rush, as well as David Ojabo.

With only 1 career sack, I am not sure how much you can expect from Robert Beal, just like I’m not sure you can expect much here from David Ojabo with 4.5 career sacks.

Harrison, with his 8.5 career sacks, will be competing for playing time with both of those players and a roster spot in training camp.

Chop Robinson is the only viable pass rusher you can count on returning to the Dolphins in 2026.

Chop is coming off a very disappointing 2nd season in which he battled injuries, but when healthy, he wasn’t very productive on the field.

EDGE Rusher is a position I expect Miami to attack heavily in the upcoming draft and again in free agency with more under-the-radar signings like this one.

Bradley Chubb was released a few weeks ago, and Jaelan Phillips was traded last year at the deadline, so the Dolphins look to rebuild this area of the team.

Miami announced the re-signing of linebacker Willie Gay a couple of weeks ago as well, and he will help provide some depth at the linebacker position.
