Dolphins Star Breaks Silence on Where Team Chemistry Stands

The Miami Dolphins had a few issues last season, which were evident. From top to bottom, the Dolphins didn't play the football they were hoping for, and much of that might’ve been due to the fact that they didn't have many leaders on the team.

The Dolphins often seem broken chemistry-wise, and that's an issue for a team with this much talent.

With that being a known issue, the Dolphins must understand that they need somebody to step up. From the sound of things, star running back De’Von Achane, who is entering his third year in Miami after being selected in the third round of the 2023 NFL draft, said the chemistry looks much better early on than it was a year ago.

"We’re doing better than we did last year because a lot of guys here in OTAs, we’re trying to build our chemistry early than trying to do it in training camp," Achane said, per Yahoo. "So I feel like it’s more of a team thing. A lot of people are here. ... I feel like as a team we’re building that energy and we’re here every day. We’re not missing days. You can see this year’s team is way different from last year’s team.”

It's important that players are in the building right now, as the Dolphins need to start putting it together as early as possible.

After posting 907 yards and six touchdowns on the ground last season, Achane is expected to be even better this year.

He suggested that he could put up 2,000 combined yards as a receiver and running back, something Miami would love to have on top of his hopeful leadership.
