When the Miami Dolphins sent shock waves through the NFL by trading for All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill in March, they immediately paired two of the more exciting, explosive and speedy wideouts in Hill and Jaylen Waddle. The duo combined for 12 receptions for 163 yards and one touchdowns in the team's season-opening win over the New England Patriots.
In Week 2, Hill and Waddle took over a decimated Baltimore Ravens secondary to the tune of 22 combined catches on 32 targets for 361 yards and four touchdowns. The speedsters, along with lefty quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, led a furious comeback win over Baltimore and will look to move to 3-0 when they face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Miami wide receiver coach Wes Welker — who was named First-Team All-Pro twice and made five Pro Bowls during his playing career — spoke Thursday about the electric pair of receiving options currently playing in South Beach.
Dolphins WR coach Wes Welker (and 5-time Pro Bowl WR) on Tyreek Hill & Jaylen Waddle: “Their speed has changed my perspective on the receiver position... Not only are they fast, they are dawgs. They’re tough.”

Welker was hired by the Dolphins in February, just days after Mike McDaniel was brought in as the team's newest head coach. McDaniel and Welker worked together with the San Francisco 49ers before jumping to the AFC this winter, as the former served as the team's offensive coordinator and the latter was San Franciso's wideouts coach.
