The Miami Dolphins will be featured on HBO’s in-season version of “Hard Knocks,” much to the displeasure of at least one of the team’s players.

Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard did not hide his displeasure with the decision, suggesting it could be distracting and a hindrance to the team’s goals.

“‘Hard Knocks’ is bull—-, especially during the season,” Howard said, via Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post. “No, I’m serious. I’m not a fan.

“I feel like being around cameras and stuff like that — I feel like we’ve got to do better. We’ve got to beat teams with good records. So I feel like before we get all the little fame that’s coming right now, I feel like we’ve got to put in work.”

HBO and the NFL began producing the in-season version of the show in 2021, making the Dolphins the third team to be featured. The show can capture some interesting moments, but teams never actually want to be featured on it, especially during the season.

The Dolphins are 5-2 and lead the AFC East, but are coming off a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 7. Cameras will not start following them until early November.
