Drew Rosenhaus Announces Tyreek Hill's Decision On Dolphins Future

The Miami Dolphins finished the 2024 regular season with an 8-9 record, missing the playoffs as questions swirl around the future of the franchise. Will Tua Tagovailoa be the answer at quarterback? Does Mike McDaniel need to worry about the hot seat?

Those questions will be answered in time, but the most pressing matter facing the Dolphins at the moment is the future of star wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Hill appeared to voice his frustrations with the team after their season finale against the Jets last week, making comments that indicated that he no longer wanted to play for the team.

"I don't even know, bruh. This is my first time I haven't been in the playoffs," Hill said after the season-ending loss.

"For me, I just have to do what's best for me and my family -- if that's here or wherever the case may be. I'm about to open up that door for myself ... I'm out, bruh. It was great playing here but at the end of the day, I have to do what's best for my career."

That quote has started speculation that Hill isn't committed to Miami, but his agent Drew Rosenhaus said otherwise on The Pat McAfee Show.

Rosenhaus told McAfee that Hill broke his wrist before the season in a scrimmage against the Washington Commanders, and that he elected to play through that injury instead of missing the season.

"I think at the end of the day, he's committed to this Dolphin football team," Rosenhaus said.

"He had an excellent meeting with Chris Grier & Mike McDaniel. I believe that Tyreek is a great asset to the Dolphins, and I think he's the last guy that people should be worried about with this organization - they have many more worries, and Tyreek Hill is not one of them."

Hill is under contract for two more seasons in Miami, and he's due to make around $30 million in salary for that final season in 2026. That will be his age 32 season, and we'll see if the Dolphins want to commit such a significant portion of their cap space to a receiver in the latter half of his career.
