The Philadelphia Eagles have had little to celebrate lately, but they once again took home a lot of hardware after a dominant 2024 season.
During the annual ESPYs awards, the Eagles took home three awards on the night, the most by any team represented in sports. Eagles running back Saquon Barkley won two of those awards, taking home the Best Play and Best NFL Player honors.
The night was topped off by the team winning the Best Team award. There were multiple Eagles there representing the team, including the head coach Nick Sirianni and left tackle Jordan Mailata.

Last year was a magical run for the Birds in so many ways. This was a team that started the year 2-2, going into their bye week, with many thinking Sirianni was going to get fired. They turned it all around to finish the regular season at 14-3 and win the NFC East.
Their postseason dominance was one of the most notable in the history books, as they outscored their opponents 145-77. Three of their four wins in the playoffs were by double-digits as they capped it off with a 40-22 blowout win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
Barkley's season was truly special, and his backwards hurdle against the Jacksonville Jaguars is considered one of the best plays in football history. He also made history as he rushed for 2,504 yards in the regular season and playoffs, which is an NFL record.
There's no getting around it: the 2024 Eagles' season was a fairy tale story that is going to be told by Philadelphia fans for years to come. From their top 10 offense to their number one ranked defense in the league, that team had everything to be as good as they were.
The party is coming to a close for the Eagles as they are nearing their time for one final pat on the back in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys when they hang the beautiful banner up in Lincoln Financial Field. Until then, Eagles fans still have permission to celebrate their Super Bowl victory however they want to because they've earned the right to.
